Modern Flat Roof Installation

For this project, our team was called in to carry out a complete flat roof replacement that had reached the end of its lifespan. The property had been experiencing water ingress and visible wear around the edges - clear signs it was time for a proper fix.

Safe Removal of the Existing Roof
Before we could begin the new installation, our first step was to remove the existing flat roof system:

We made the area safe with scaffolding and protective sheeting, ensuring no mess or damage to the home.

The worn roof covering - including trims and flashings - was carefully removed and responsibly disposed of.

We then checked the condition of the underlying structure. Any compromised timber was replaced, setting the stage for a secure, long-lasting new roof.

New Decking Installation with OSB3 Boards
Once the structure was solid, we installed new 18mm OSB3 boards, ideal for flat roofing thanks to their strength and moisture resistance.

Boards were fixed in place with proper spacing to allow for thermal expansion.

Edge details and upstands were installed to help direct water runoff and improve weatherproofing.

The result was a clean, solid surface - ready for the final layer.

EPDM Rubber Membrane Fitting
For this roof, the homeowner opted for a single-piece EPDM rubber membrane, which is an excellent choice for its low maintenance and long lifespan.

The surface was prepped, and the membrane was allowed to relax before being fully bonded using an approved adhesive.

We paid close attention to details - securing edges, corners, and around any roof penetrations like vents or pipes using specialist materials.

All joints were sealed and finished for a completely watertight result.
